The listing, BENJAMIN FRANKLIN BIOGRAPHY - (For Young Readers) has ended.
Paperback – 128 pages – like new - Enjoyable quick reading. Filled with archival photographs and amazing fact boxes, tells the story of the famous statesman's remarkable life, from his early childhood upbringing through his scientific experiments and politically active years. I enjoyed reading how despite his hardships: No money, or titles, plus family conflicts, he still believed enough in himself to explored his options and venture to become the beloved, down to earth man loved by almost everyone he met. Franklin was a realistic & fair negotiator, he understood both sides of the problems that each nation faced during his period of history. He was a visionary scientist who wanted nothing more than to see and live in the future, so that he could marvel at all the wonderful inventions it would hold. This book really captured my heart and now whenever I look at life in 2015, I think “What would Franklin think if he saw what I am looking at now? Book intended for youth, so they left out most of the controversial stuff, but I’m making a second trip to Philly now to research Franklin on my own.…. and won’t just focus on all those bakery shops …lol.
