The listing, Read This Book Backwards ~ DeathNote ~ has ended.

This Book Was Made To Be Read From What We Call "Back To Front" Instead of "Front To Back" !!!

Thats Right ! ! ! !
Start from the back & read to the front....Its Flip-Flop'd, But not as confusing as it sounds....

In keeping the original Japanese format, DeathNote is meant to be read from right to left, starting in the upper right corner. Unlike English which is read from left to right, Japanese is read from right to left, meaning that action, sound effects & word-balloon order are completely reversed...Something which can make readers unfamiliar with Japanese feel pretty backwards themselves.
For this reason, Manga or Japanese comics published in the US. in English have sometimes been published "Flopped" - That is, printed in exact reversed order, as though seen from the other side of a mirror.
By flopping pages, US publishers can avoid confusing readers, but the compromise is not without it's downside. For one thing, a character in a flop'd Manga series who once wore in the original Japanese version a T-shirt emblazoned with "MAY" (as in "The Merry Month Of") now wears one which reads "YAM"! Additionally, many Manga creators in Japan are themselves unhappy with the process, as some feel the mirror-imaging of their art alters their original intentions.
We are proud to bring you Tsugumi Ohba & Takeshi Obata's DeathNote in the original Unflopped format. For now, though, turn to the other side of the book & let the quest begin...!

Awesome manga, but you've got it classified in "children's books" and it is definitely not that! More young adult. Fanned and watching!

...Well...idk what to put it under...lol...it's not something I get into, its neat but not my type of book...I got it for my 12 yr old son....He read it...Or he says...lol..so I just figured it'd be more for a preteen or teenager....I consider that age group children....I didnt see a better option....But thank you for that info!!! I'm sure that will be very helpful for ppl that are interested....I think the 1's who have an interest in this book are obviously more familiar with it than me anyways....& I am Soooo Glad For That!!!...Thanks!!! Like new However not brand spankin new...There are no torn pages or crayon / pencil / pen marks at all....This book was bought for my son a year ago, and it has sat on his book shelf the entire year....Other than switching the bedroom around it hasnt moved...but he is 12 so I wouldnt not be able to considered this book to be in "perfect" condition....1 bottom corner looks like it had been bent at one time and the other corners may have a scuff mark from being pushed between 2 other books on the shelf, but not very easy to notice it.....If that makes sense...

It's a wonderful book-- basically the main character gets the ability to kill others by writing their names in a notebook. And he changes as a result. So pretty mature stuff-- probably 12 and up. I think my eleven year old is one year too young for it. And it's way better than the anime, for those who have seen that. (or the movie, which was horrible.)

Maybe listia will expand their options?

Sounds like it is too mature for children under 12 or 13....Your comment & knowledge about these books is very much appreciated....Thanks!

Great series, but yeah, not a kids' book. Most mangas will have a recommended age group listed somewhere on the cover. Death Note is recommended for Older Teens
