1965 Uncirculated 5-Coin Birth Year SetCoins:

Kennedy Half Dollar
Mint Mark:
In order to alleviate the coin shortage, the Mint removed the mint marks from all coins this year.
Composition:
Because silver prices had risen far above the nominal value of the dime and quarter, these coins were struck in a special "clad" composition for the first time. For these coins, a layer of copper is sandwiched between two layers of nickel.
The Kennedy Half, however, contained 40% silver in 1965.
