The listing, 1971 Topps #27 Pirates Rookie Stars w/ GENE CLINES RC has ended.

This is a 1971 Topps #27 Pirates Rookie Stars card featuring GENE CLINES and FRED CAMBRIA.

Much alike the current Pirates, the early 1970s Pittsburgh squad relied on depth to be successful. Clines was a significant addition to the Pirates. In his first call up, he batted .405 in 31 games. A year later, it was .308 in 97 games, then .334 in 107 games. The Buccos made the playoffs 4 times during his 5 seasons in Pittsburgh, winning the World Series alongside Willie Stargell and Roberto Clemente in 1971.
