“Song of the South was not a malicious attempt to reinforce the foolish stereotype of the inferiority of the black race, but rather an attempt to show that children of all races and different social statuses could play together as friends, learn important moral lessons from stories, and survive times of trouble by finding a place to laugh.”

― Jim Korkis, Who's Afraid of the Song of the South

ME: I remember seeing the movie "The Song of the South" as a child and loving it; especially the music and the combination of real and animation; black and white as well as color. At that time I was unaware of course of the racial implications in the movie. I was viewing it as upbeat entertainment. It is a difficult movie to get. If you really think about it - Disney has a lot of inappropriate movies that have been "entertaining" children for generations.

If you choose to bid, I wish you the best of luck and if you are the winner I only ask that you please submit your verified shipping address to me right away as I like to ship winning auctions within three days whenever possible.

***PLEASE NOTE***
I ship from home using Stamps.com. Whenever possible I try to provide tracking. IF it offers me the option of First Class Mail (it often does NOT) I will likely choose that option; however, Stamps.com does NOT offer tracking with First-Class Mail - why? I have not a clue! It only offers tracking with Priority Mail and sometimes it can be rather expensive.

I am more than happy to fan you in return for fanning me. As always thanks for your continued support and interest in my items.

Have a most fabulous day and always find a reason to smile!
