The listing, 1972 Topps #120 BILL FREEHAN (Tigers) has ended.
This is an original vintage 1972 Topps #120 BILL FREEHAN baseball card.
Before Buster Posey, before Mike Piazza, before Carlton Fisk or Johnny Bench, baseball had Bill Freehan. Freehan played 15 MLB seasons, including 13 full (qualifying) seasons, and was an All Star 11 times, playing 10 straight from 1964-1973 and again in 1975. ironically, the season he did not play 91974) was one of his best offensively (career high .840 OPS). It's perhaps a shame that Freehan was left outside of the Hall of Fame, as most analysts believe he was undeniably the best catcher for the decade of the 1960s, winning 5 straight Gold Gloves from 1965-1969.
