They really are! These are fascinating stones, it makes me think of soapstone when I hold it, it has an iridescent sort of surface, and when you handle it, you are left with sparklies deposited on your fingers! A strange sort of specimen but bang up interesting!

Ok, so my newest venture is crystal grids, so I am scoping out some really cool gems for my collection. I have been getting some kindle books to study up on it. And I am going to incorporate my selenite wand that I won from you for actual grids and my slab in a charging box for the crystals not in use.

Ok, I'm not terribly knowledgeable about Grids, but I believe the piece in the center of the grid is or has a directional component to it. In other words, the stones in the outer runs of the grid gather up power/energy and feed it to the center stone, and that stone, in turn feeds the gathered power/ energy/ healing (depending on the working) to it's destination, as determined and willed by the practitioner. If that is so, then I would think that the position for the wand would be in that center position, as a wand, by its very nature, incorporates a directional function...they are used to direct energies as the flow through and out of the practitioner. I've also seen many grids that utilize 'pieces' or 'chunks' of selenite as the charging elements surrounding and feeding power to the center stone. It's my understanding that Selenite and Black Tourmaline have an affinity for each other and work well together in grids. I hope some of that helps a bit, it's about the extent of my knowledge on the subject. I've only just begun my study of grids...there's just so much to learn, and I get sidetracked SO easily, lol!
