Well I guess its local channels that pick up the signal. That is a great question. This was the info I found online. I am sitting here dumbfounded as well, never thought about that one. I imagine its just the local stations.

So is it a Digital Signal ? Should say on it.... If not look for a year that it was made that will tell you if it is digital signal or analog. Thank you ! Also fanned :)

I did not see that written anywhere. the only thing I found online was that it was first available for sale on Amazon January 2006. I did see in the specs that is was analog.

Its brand new unopened! Its whatever the signal will send to the antenna. I dont know how the technology works. But I did not find any bad reviews on this TV online. Casio TV TO GO TV-980. I have never used it, so I can not tell you either way.

WOW OOPS! This device IS NOT going to pick up any digital signals. It contains an analogue tuner.

It may be possible that there are a few "mom and pop" stations in some areas still broadcasting on analogue, but doubtful, and if there are, have fun watching church broadcasts and bingo.

You will need to connect this to a D/A box.

i know on bigger TVs we need to buy a converter to be able to watch local channels, is there such a converter for this small tv or do we use the same converter as the big ones? I know without one we will not be able to watch any channels because of the stupid upgrade where everything is now digital instead of analogue.

My dear, I have no idea. I dont even understand half of that. I tried to search online, but I dont even know what to look for. Perhaps Casio would have a place on their website for such a converter?
