Well, that's what I'd call a question with a wide scope, lol! You're asking me to define an entire school of thought. When reading the description I've provided, understand that the explanation is geared toward a reader who is at least minimally familiar with reiki healing and crystal energy therapies in general. The basic idea is that we, as beings of energy, can be affected in a positive and negative fashion by introducing or exposing the body to different 'frequencies' of energy, such energy being manipulated by a Reikki Master, Swammi, Priest, etc., in an effort to 'awaken' certain 'power centers' or 'Chakras' within the body that govern various parts of our overall health and well being.

Now pull your fingertips away from each other as though you were opening up your crown.
Move your fingers 2 inches above the starting point and repeat the same movement.
Do this over the entire crown of your head until you reach the nape of your neck. Take 3 deep breaths to anchor in this opening.

What I can tell you, is that a healer would use the wand above to help him either cleanse negative energy from a chakra, or to manipulate energy to awaken or energize one Chakra or another in order to help the body to heal itself. If you're interested in learning more about this practice, there are numerous websites devoted to teaching folks how to do it or simply what's going on that causes the healing. Well, I operate on the assumption that more knowledge is almost always a good thing, and since we are so limited in space in our descriptions that we seldom get to put more than a dribble of the hows and whys into them, I try to put out a concentrated power punch of info now and then in the hope that those that need to see it will do so, no matter where I put it. And anyway, Tristan178 asked the question, and that really was the shortest version I could come up with that would cover the basics, concisely, lol, I figured the question deserved an answer!
