Siberian Crab Apple is a round-headed wide-spreading species that is one of the largest crab apples reach 20' — 50' tall. In midspring the profuse pink flower buds open into very fragrant, white, five-petaled flowers. Leaves are bright green. Fruits are small, only about 1/8" around, but are profuse and very showy, glossy red. They persist on the bare branches through most of the winter.

The Siberian Crab Apple is very cold hardy and can be used in landscape as a border tree or street tree. It is susceptible to scab and sometimes fire blight. Originally from northeastern Asia.

Should not be planted near juniper, cedar, or cotoneaster.
