I have verizon as my carrier but I was wondering if to use this phone if they require you to purchase a data plan or can I just transfere my existing service over to it.? I just don't want to have to purchase any kind of data plan right now just to be able to use the phone.

this is a smart phone as far as the data plan u need to contact verizon to verify that. I don't want to give u the wrong info. I had to have some kind of data plan to use the phone. but to be sure it is wise to contact verizon and ask them.

I am very sorry everyone my fiancee threw the otter box away. She feels bad, she didn't know I put it up here. anyway. I do have another otter box which is one the other blackberry. whoever wins this as soon as I can find the other otter box I will ship it to you as well. I am trying to find it before the auction ends. I have been so busy lately and haven't really had the time to do so. I do appologize for this inconvience. but the phone is good nothing wrong with it and will ship it out on the next bussiness day.

Yes it does, this use to be my phone, I just don't use it anymore I no longer have verizon and don't need it anymore. I have att. So u don't have to worry about any problems activating the phone. I am an honest person
