This is a 1998 Pacific Paramount "Gold" card for Los Angeles Dodgers superstar catcher MIKE PIAZZA.

Gold cards were a parallel to the base set, which featured silver foil.

Arguably the best hitting catcher of all time, Piazza plowed 427 balls into the bleachers in his career while hitting .308 with 1335 RBI. For his efforts, he was awarded the Rookie of the Year Award in 1993, 12 All Star appearances, and an impressive 10 Silver Slugger Awards in 16 seasons (only 13 of which he qualified for awards). Although the Hall of fame almost certainly awaits Piazza, he'll always be best remembered for his go-ahead home run on September 21, 2001 for the Mets against the Braves in the first professional sporting event in New York City after the World Trade Center attacks of September 11.
