This is a 2000 Pacific Paramount "Ruby" MANNY RAMIREZ baseball card.
Pacific being a Canadian product, albeit more heavily distributed in the US, "Ruby" cards were the Canadian version of the cards (US version featured silver foil, not red). Some of the cards made it into US distribution through stores owned by Southland Corporation.

Manny was a polarizing character for a number of reasons, namely erratic and often hilarious behavior for which the term "Manny being Manny" was coined. He finished in the top 10 of MVP voting every season from 1998-2006 and retired with 555 home runs and 1831 RBI, both eye-popping figures.
