Found this at our local Salvation Army Store!!
Its a Beautiful Unique Looking Potpourri Ball, made of a silver-tone metal. Has No Markings!! Hasn't been cleaned other than with damp rag, However if winners chooses, I can clean with Hagerty's Silver Cleaner before sending! Up to the Winner!! Some like the patina!

As with my estate auctions, No idea of the history of this piece!

This is called a pomander ball. In old times the "Ladies" would put potpourri or perfume soaked cotton in them and place them in their Lingerie drawer. They are a very neat collectors item. And no don't clean it, it loses value if you do that. If it sounds like I'm being rude with that, I'm sincerely sorry. I don't mean it to be that way. :). I will definitely be back!!!!!

Was surprised to find one like this one, they're usually ceramic.
Had me thinking it was real silver the way its tarnished, but can't find any markings & online it says they're plated.
Have a lot of neat items to come :)

When you check their face book page an its says last place worked or lived? & it shows an elementary or high school, its a good sign they're a minor..lol

i think it was a bonus at Hallmark , like 10 yrs ago at Christmas. I have one. If you bought so much stuff. its silver plated if i am not mistaken. they are nice! good luck make a bunch of points.

You could clearly see that the hoop on the hoop on the top is for a necklace chain. And it opens up to put a light in it. Sorry.

Its a Vintage potpourri ball, probably silver plated, To large for a pendant. Maybe this will help. Its not the exact one, but close & same thing.
