For all you fans of the "old" Windows systems. I personally LOVED 98 version! I got this at a local sale along with some other stuff ......

Auction includes:
Manual
Windows 98 CD w/ COA and Key
Windows 98 Upgrade CD
Windows 98 Boot Disk (floppy disk)

To keep this legal I have to include one piece of hardware, per Microsoft. So I will throw in a working Western Digital 80 GB Caviar Enhanced IDE hard drive. (Came out of a HP Pavillion computer)

great! hopefully this would work for my system. i have a compaq presario laptop for windows 98. i get stuck at the command prompt. any advice. will this work. someone said it may be my battery

Could be the battery, do you have a Windows CD to reinstall it ? I would try that first before I went and bought a new battery....also does it get past that if you are on AC power ?????
