The listing, Antique Late Victorian Early Flapper RHINESTONE PURSE has ended.
This antique evening bag from the late Victorian period to early Flapper times (20-30s) is heavy at 6 ounces, loaded with faceted rhinestones, each held in place by 4 prongs, has it's original working clasp possibly white bronze and original 10 inch chain. Perfect for "something old-something new", bridal wear, special evening out, something to make you sparkle!
I see only 4 rhinestones missing, pretty good for nearly 100 years old! Clasp is working and strong, interior without stain and you can see in picture #3 the inner pocket for small keepsakes, perhaps a hankie or necklace?
Measures 6-1/2 inches long and 4 inches tall. The interior shell is heavy satin and hand sewn to the frame. There are no noted holes or tears or breaks. No stains. and the satin color is a rich ivory or off white. The chain is attached at opposite corners of the frame. Strong links.
This special evening bag, purse, hand clutch is exquisite and quite valuable hence the high GIN. I'm hoping people do their research and find a new gem here for themselves! Check out Rubylane, eBay and more. The value is much more than the value of the GIN. I just want a collector, a brick & mortar store or shop to enjoy it for decor, a bride to be, enjoy it on her wedding day.
Since I also collect OLD hankies, if someone uses GIN, I will place a vintage hankie inside to start your rhinestone bag with it's own gem! The rainbow sparkle of these glass rhinestone gems is outstanding!
I start all my auctions at ZERO, so have FUN!
