It is real leather. And I'll be honest I cannot find one scuff in this bag. I have gone over it several times but it is mint. The shoulder strap was never used.

Yes on the leather, but I'm not sure I understand your question about strap drop

Strap drop is the measurement from the top of the strap to the top of the purse. A 8-9 inch drop means its a shoulder bag. A 5-6 inch drop means its a hand bag.

Oh the bag has measurements in the last 3 photos and also has a shoulder strap that comes with it that is still rolled in the pocket of the purse as seen also in one of the pictures is one of the pockets. Thank you for clarifying
