this is a really morally gray area bc this artist obviously didnt want their art to be seen or sold, not to mention theyre not seeing any of the profit? imo this isn't right.
The points get donated to one of the listia charities. I did this last time I listed a rescued painting and plan on doing the same with this one. I live in a university community where much gets wasted due to needing to move quick. The custom of putting items outside of dumpsters is to indicate someone should find a use for it. Thank you for you interest. Have fun.
Also, maybe the artist didn't throw it away. Maybe it was someone who bought it, then had to move. If that person gave it to a thrift store or sold it to a pawn shop or sold it at a yard sale that's ok. "Free" enterprise or Free Cycle, whatever. That's why listia is so cool. Enjoy!
Dearest Listian, Ms. donnaclendenning, please believe that every half-penny made from these sales directly is for the help of others! One sale entirely was donated by your many fellow Listian because the original owner was not able to pay shipping! Believe in Miracles and Miracles happen! I bid 5000. On a painting for someone else only be out bid! I am sure you are very intelligent by obtaining items after a human has killed themselves but what if that one person was given hope before they took that last gasp of air, it may have started a new life for him/her! Life is new an now each day! believe!
