Actually you should be sending the winner the 16 digit code not the other way around

If you have a Starbucks card, then you know you can transfer funds from one card to another... A Starbucks card has 2 numbers in order to be used, a 16 digit card number AND a 8 digit security code... In order to transfer funds from one card to another, all you need is the 16 digit card number of the recipient. If you think I am breaking rules, please flag my auction and Listia will take care of it. If you don't want to bid or don't like my auction, you don't have to... I do have positive feedback from a similar auction, feel free to check it out.

No it is not that usually you would send the person the numbers and they transfer it to their card them self, I know you can send some one also the link for the e-card and that does not involve them sending you their card number. But I think I know what you are doing it is basically re-loading their card. It is just easier to do it where you send the buyer the code and then if something goes wrong you are off the hook.

Ah, I see, well when I listed a $25 card, the winner had a problem with the numbers I sent, not sure if it was my fault or not, since I was new with dealing with Starbucks cards, so I did a balance transfer for them to fix the problem. When I do the balance transfer, it will say funds transferred from card ****-****-****-(xxxx) to ****-****-****-(xxxx) (it shows the last 4 digits of each card) and I can take a picture of that screen for proof of the balance transferred.

Is it possible to do it the other way just asking

I will wait until my next auction to start sending the codes again, I'm just not certain if someone can transfer the funds to their card, unactivate the card (there is the option to do that), then claim that the card details are invalid... Figured balance transfer would be optimal for both buyer and seller.

Have you considered sending it as an e-card and they have to enter an e-mail address? Anyhow it does not matter. May bid depends on this other auction that all my credits are tied up in right now

Well, that should work, have Starbucks send the card direct to recipient's email? I have just been reloading the card that is attached to my Starbucks account, and transferring the funds that way, but I guess if the winner provides me their email address I can send the card that way.

I have won starbucks e-cards from people on this site do that, I am not sure how they do it but that is what they do or send the numbers. Maybe that works

I think I can send one via email, that way Starbucks sends me a purchase confirmation email, which would be proof on my part that the card has been sent : )
