I just got back from Prague, which is the Czech Republic, famous for it's crystal and glass, including beads. I did a LOT of trekking looking for beads to buy, but, OMG, everything there was about five TIMES as expensive as retail here. Ridiculous.

We bought a lot of great food, but no souvenirs ... LOL ... they were just outrageous. The restaurants, however, were a great bargain and we enjoyed a LOT of great food! My souvenir is the extra chin I brought back!

Earrings are VERY easy to make ... I have earring-making kits with the supplies you need, but you have to add your own large beads. You also need a round-nose pliers to make the headpins into loops.

If you google, you can find lots of simple, illustrated instructions online on how to make earrings!
