Description

The listing, Vintage Simplicity Clown Pattern has ended.

Offering a partially cut clown pattern. You either love or hate these guys. This 1981 pattern will construct four clowns all with very distinct faces and outfits. These are NOT intended as toys and are for decorative purposes only. This pattern does require a small piece of wood under the head to create the body/torso portion of the clown. So there is a little more to this than just sewing. The pattern pieces, transfers all appear to be intact. Each clown is approximately 20" tall.

Yes, this pattern does require a piece of wood that fits under the head and creates the torso for the clown. How did you know that? Thanks, that was a great question. I am going to update the description now.

Thanks for the update......Believe it or not I made a bunch of these but not as clowns. (Kinda scared of them) I made Mr & Mrs Santa, an Elf, one that looked like a doll in a dress and bloomers with yarn hair etc. I sold them one Christmas and did very well !!!

That block of wood allows them to be posed quite nicely. Oh I adapted that pattern into many, many "block dolls" as I called them. At the craft shows no one knew they had a 4 x 4inch block in them.

Then I downsized and used a 2x2inch wood block and made some angels elves and just a lot of other "dolls" with them !! I had more fun than the law allows making them !!! lol Good luck with your auction!!!
