OK, I have the package now and it says 3 Lithium batteries AG 13X3. It says the batteries can last for 1 year if daily use is about 1 hour. Thanks.

I am sorry I haven't had a chance to look at it today. I will try when I get home. I am sure they are the little tiny flat round ones though and I think it takes three. Will get back to you. Thanks.
