Description

The listing, Lot of 3 Antique Cabinet Card Photographs has ended.

You are bidding on three old found photographs of men. The first two photos are very old cabinet cards and measure 4.5" x 6.5" (cabinet cards are from around the turn of the century). The other two photo was probably also a cabinet card, but it has been cut into a partial oval.

All photos have wear/yellowing and are not in mint condition; they still look nice for their age.

The first photo has some scratches and wear/staining/marks, especially near the top of the photo.

The second photo has lots of wear and staining/marks around the image area.

The last photo has been cut in a rough way and also has some staining/marks around the image area.

A nice lot of found photos for your collection!

Will ship for FREE within 4 business days after auction's end.

Please send Listia Verified address within 7 days after auction's end.

I've bought and sold a few of these cabinet cards. The yellow tint is generally referred to "sepia toned" which was the common color of the earlier ones. Towards the turn of the century most cabinet cards were black and white. These are likely from the 1870-1880's unless you see a date on them that would suggest otherwise.

Thanks for the info! I'll take a closer look later and see if I see a date anywhere.

Nice auction, I love these old cabinet cards, especially ones with great studio advertising on the back.
