they don't appear to be marked... also can the brown spots on when of them be removed?

They are etchings, very thin, my eyes are not what they used to be and if they are stamped, the font is way too small for me to see. I guarantee they are sterling, they were purchased from a reputable supplier long ago and I never used them in my work.
