Questions & Comments
I used to make these and taught my mother how to make them. She made tons of them. She wasn't able to do much else in her later years and she enjoyed this craft. People were always bringing her greeting cards for her box hobby. These are just too cool.
Yes, I'm also elderly and losing my sight so can't read patterns for crocheting things like I used to. (I'm 77). People also send me their used cards to use. It helps. I hate having to charge for postage help and MANY object, but my Social Security just don't go that far. Thanks for commenting. You made my day. katie
One year, I had a Jenny Lynn crib that was gave to me, so I gave it to my daughter in law which it needed a mattress. So at her baby shower I wrote a check for the cost of a new mattress to go with it and folded it up and put it in one of these tiny boxes I'd made. She was like what in the world? (what could I bring to a baby shower so tiny...lol) Thought I'd share one idea to use these boxes for.
That's a great idea. I'm sure she found out 'good things come in small packages'. My daughter put Bible Verses inside and passed out to her friends when needed. Some put money inside and hang on Christmas Tree...and on and on. I love to hear the uses for them.
