The listing, TYPED ON RICE PAPER 1836 COPY OF THE ALAMO has ended.
I have no idea if this is an original or what. Some one told me it could be worth a fortune but I have no idea where to even start If someone wins this and makes a fortune from it remember to share the wealth lol. It looks extremely old to me just because of the rice paper and the clips that hold it together. It is The Alamo From the west from a car window by richard harding davis. then on the bottom it says the alamo march 6, 1836. by susan buell hale. In very good condition. I found this in an old abandoned house I cleaned out in Tennessee I know the house was abandoned for more than over 15 years and these were in the owners private collection of really old papers. Im listing lots of stuff from there so be sure to check out my other auctions.

Questions & Comments
And the artwork on the front of this looks to be hand drawn with a pencil. Which makes since because the type writer could not do these fancy designs in 1836.
This is a manuacript, written in 1892, by Richard Hardin Davis. The battle at the Alamo, was in March, 1836. Texas was adopted into statehood in 1845. Davis was a on-again, off again writer, whose parents were also writers. I Googled and found this information, but then, part of what I just wrote about is knowledge gleaned from many years of Texas education. Glad to be of help!

Thank you and I fanned already and you have a great book as well. If its not an original it is still very very old just by looking at the paper. Not to mention it is a very interesting story to read. Wish you luck!
