yeah, but download can't be booted from a disk, and it is a 700mb file that takes forever to download..and then your stuck with it if you install it....with this disk you can check it out without losing your windows operating system....jharley..go ahead and download it...tell me how it works next year when it's finished downloading...your ever hear of CONVENIENCE ??? that's what this disk offers

This is a great alternative to windows...Having this disc is great, but it is also a free download, though the rather large almost 700mb file might take long depending on your internet speed. It can also become a bootable usb thumbdrive for netbooks and there's a specific version for that. Learn more at ubuntu.com. You need to have an iso burner to create the bootable cd.

all I have is the disk..I got if off Ebay last year..just put it in and run..it gives you an option to boot from the cd, or to install..what is cool about it is you can just boot it from the cd and check it out without having to remove your other operating system. I'm sure there is info about it on the internet
