Questions & Comments

I was doing some research, do you know which of the species these seeds are pf aster/puniceus AKA Symohyotrichum puniceus - On Wikipedia it stated: "It [Aster/Puniceus] is a variable species and many forms have been described, but they are generally no longer recognised. Two varieties are accepted, however. The flowers emerge in August through October to show dark blue to rarely white ray florets and yellow to cream-coloured disc florets that become pink or purple with maturity." ---- main question is, what color are they? I see they are white in the photograph, but do they change color with maturity, or has wikipedia failed me once again? LOL Fanned & Watching!

These are white with a yellow center. They stay this way until they mature. I have a listing for the dark purple ones, which are very pretty. The white has a woody stem and the purple has a tall stalk. Some times if the purple ones are cut off they will come back bushy. Meaning more stems and flowers. I planted my first ones 17 years ago and they have reseeded them self. Thank you for asking!

Awesome! Thank you for the information! I LOVE reseeding plants, they're so clever. Hopefully I'll have enough credits to win this auction, I'd love to add this plant to my garden, if my auctions don't end before yours ends - will there be other Aster auctions available in the future & do you ever provide a GIN?

The seeds are very small. I would space them at least 2 ft apart or more. They will branch out at the top.

Wow, 2 ft apart or more? Do you know of the top of your head the avg height & widest diameter of plant - and do they prefer to be in ground or potted?
