Fossilized shark's teeth are over 10,000 years old. They are usually black, brown and grey in color. The above teeth were found here along the central west coast of Florida. I have been finding shark's teeth all my life. I live where they are very prevelant. Teeth that have turned black are the oldest. Brown ones are less old and if you can find white ones they have been bleached or are from a freshly dead fish. I did some research about this before listing them, but my grandson told me this a few years ago and he knows everything. LOL (he really is a gifted child)

the teeth are usually 1/2 to one inch in length and width. Rarely do you find bigger ones here unless you go out to deeper water and dive for them. Recently someone found a 5" one and made the news. Wish it had been me. I have found 2 in my life that were 2" x 2". I gave one to each of my kids and I hope they still have them.
