As far as I (a man ) knows they are, but not sure. I get these from a warehouse that handles items from Walmart, Target, Big Lots, Family and General Dollar stores and other big box stores. I have listed hundreds of pieces of jewelry by ''Best Fashion Jewelry'' and never had a complaint. My wife has worn this jewelry for 7 years and never had an issue. I am not guaranteeing it, but pretty sure they are safe to wear. Check my feedback and see how many pieces of jewelry I have listed over the past year. Sorry, that's the best most honest answer I can give you.
