I ALWAYS MADE SURE I HAD A SLEEPER SOFA WHILE MY KIDS WERE LIVING WITH ME. It came in handy for all those sleep overs my kids loved to have. My home was usually the home the sister's in my congregation knew they could come to with their kids if there were problems at home. Even the Elder's would ask me if sister so-and -so, can come to stay with me with her family for about a week. While the family worked threwv some personal issues? I made sure everyone knew I worked full time and was not baby sitting. Once that was extablished I had no problems. The congregation even gave us money for groceries the whole time they stayed at my home. So we always ate real good especially when the other sister did the cooking. We even tried some new foods and loved them too

Now this is an older sofa but it is in reasonably good shape. The cushions still are full and the springs are not comming threw from the bottom. I never had any occasion to see the mattress pulled out. But my nephew's 2 teen age sons still sleep on it when they visit for the holidays from Viriginia. So it can't be too bad. You can always get a new mattress if you plan to use the sleeper sofa as your main bed. Or just a mattress topper if it's just for quests . No big Marley type of dogs sleeping all over it would be very good.
