GREEN MAN Father Nature With Celtic Knot ~ Original, One-of-a-Kind Repurposed Cigar Box!

This item may be of special interest to those who study or are interested in Wicca ~ Pagan ~ Neo-Pagan ~ Celt ~ Celtic ~ Witch ~ and/or other New Age Religions..

This is a nice-sized, square Cigar Box that I repurposed. Very good, solid, and sturdy construction, with a decent weight to it at 1 pound, 2 oz. I painted the entire outside (including bottom) with a black gloss paint, and placed a large, round Green Man decal on the top hinged lid. I left the nice cedar wood natural inside, and left the original black velvet on the inside of the top lid. Sprayed the entire outside with a top coat of polyurethane spray to seal, protect, and for easy care.

This multi-purpose box measures 5-1/2" wide x 5-1/2 deep, x 3-1/2" high...

Oh I will go look! I would like to try the crackle technique. I like that look. I have an old gold vase with the crackle look. It is so exquisite! I bet it looks great on the box. I have never seen anything hand made go so high so keep doing it. When you have joy while doing it--the joy is passed on.

Thank you for that comment, sneezing! I would absolutely Love to think that the joy is passed on.. because I thoroughly do enjoy creating things. It gives such a great sense of satisfaction to be able to sit back when you are all done and see the finished product. Truly rewarding. And the process during creating is so calming and stress-relieving.. you have to be still, go slow, and focus. It's also entertaining watching it transform. You should so try the crackle technique! You'd love it. It's so much fun to watch the crackles start to appear right before your eyes! I love seeing how they turn out.. watching the design take form like it has a life of it's own. Don't buy the store-bought "crackle in a spray can", lol.. use the old-fashioned (glue) technique. Much cheaper and much nicer, more natural results. Thanks! The last box I put up for auction a couple of weeks ago went for 70-something thousand. I did a crackle finish technique (one of my favorites to do! ), using a black base coat and teal green top coat. You can check it out in my feedback history! :) I'm working now on a couple more boxes, both with the crackle technique finish. It's just so much fun to do.. and it's so therapeutic, lol! :)

wHAT BRAND DO YOU USE. i HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A FLAWLESS PAINT JOB. I am not shouting. I have tried to get such a finish bit never accomplished it. Also what kind of a brush.

Thanks so much, sneezing! As I mentioned in the description, the Green Man is actually a decal that I applied after painting the exterior of the box with black acrylic paint (Apple Barrel brand- Gloss), using a 3/4" flat synthetic bristle paintbrush. I applied two coats of paint, letting it dry overnight in-between coats. I then sealed the exterior with a polyurethane spray, let it dry in front of a fan overnight, and applied a second coat. :)
