Would I need to keep indoors in the winter? Have you grown these yourself in Michigan?

I Have some growing right now in Michigan. And What I Plan to do (As I'm not in it's Zone hardiness) is Once it's big enough to go outside during the summer, I'll Put it into a pot out there and let it finish growing, Once it's bloomed and what not, I'll save the seed's, and bring that pot back inside for the winter.. This is my first time growing them. But Other people in different zone's have them inside right now growing, and they're already started to germinate after 5 days..
