Snead was signed by the Buccaneers out of Ole Miss, where he had led the Rebels to a victory in the 2009 Cotton Bowl over Texas A&M. Before enrolling at Ole Miss, Snead had played for the University of Texas Longhorns, sharing quarterback duties with Colt McCoy.
