Description
The listing, ❤Vintage 10k Real Gold Ring❤ Diamond?? "D" Initial has ended.
Vintage Real Stamped 10K Gold Ring. It has the initial " D". This is around sz 3-4 and old (no idea on age) ring. I was doubtful at first that it was gold because it has some areas that look tarnished but I had it TESTED and it is higher than 10k. I looked it up and discoloration can happen to gold over years depending on the alloys it's mixed with and being exposed to chemicals like bleach. Im sure someone here knows how to fix this and make it shine again. I'm listing as 10K but I think I remember them saying it was more like 12k which would make sense 12k was used alot in the past. It's been around 2 months since I had it tested so I need to start writing things down because all I remember is that it was more than 10KT.
It has a little stone that I think is a diamond but not sure since I had alot tested that day and forgot to ask about it that day. I'll try to get back to my jeweler before this ends. If not you may or may not get a diamond. It doesn't seem like back when this was made they would put fake stones with real gold.

In the last photo it shows the stamp. Most importantly it's been tested with a $16000 metal analyzer. My jewelry guy uses this method of testing instead of destroying gold by cutting it.
Oh ok. No problem. I'm selling it as at least 10k but if it tested at like 12k from what I remember. I might have time today to go back and have it tested again. Not sure though. So at this point it's at least 10k for sure. :)
Yes it does. Look closely in the 4th picture. Also it's been tested. If you are worried about it being 10k gold no worries because that it is. What I'm saying is that I think they said its actually a little more. This is an old ring. I'm not sure how they mix metals but whoever mixed for it accidentally put more than the 10k amt, they put extra to make it around 12k. So you would be getting a ring that has a higher gold percent than 10k.
My jewelry guy has a machine that tests the exact metals in the gold. I once had a 14k piece test at 13.3K (so less gold). The only gold that is exactly what it says is 10,14,18kp or plumb. That means the stamp is true, no more or less but exactly as it is stamped. So metal makers can stamp 10k or 14k but they might put a little less gold or even more. In this case it turned out to have more than the stamp. So more value than 10k. I can't remember how much they said though...it was like 12 or 13k but not sure that's why until I can retest I'm selling as at least 10k. I think I will go get it retested today though so you all know for sure. :) but ❤ IT IS 10K❤... No doubt about it. ;)
