I got a handfull of these u.s flag pins -at a garage sale-i was told they were given out in the 1970's when they tried to go green the first time -i remember -canging light bulbs recyle glass -paper etc when i was a kid then they stopped until now great collectable rare antique -odd old stuff-good for coin -stamp collecters also

According to legend, it was created as a combination of the letters e and o, from the words environment and organism. This flag was also based on the Stars and Stripes of the US Flag. Green was substituted in place of blue and red. The colors represent "pure air and green land" and environmental action. VERY COOL!!!
