Before I start bidding, I had a question. What does "free shipping" mean to you, as a seller? Does that mean that you pay money to ship items to the buyer? If so, how much does that typically set you back?

I want to start listing items, but I do not want to "meet up" with strangers. Nor do I want to waste money shipping stuff.

Is there a way to charge users shipping??

Yes, on free shipping you, the seller, pays the cost. the cost is dependent on the weight and size of the package..it can be costly. i usually pay out $60 a week. but you can charge shipping, you can charge the exact cost, which with the weight, you can go to usps and figure it out. or you can charge a flat rate, whatever cost you want to charge. my tip to you is try an keep it under 13oz, anything over that is automatically priority mail and the cost is quite a bit higher. if you need more help or have more questions, just let me know, thanks!!
