Good looking watch. Gold plate but some of the gold is wearing off on the outside. Fits good. Needs a battery. Haven't tested so as is, but positive it's a good piece.

Does the back watch cover have 6 little notches around the circular edge ? Is it flat ?

I don't see 6 notches on the back. It's is flat and says Singapore Movement Stainless Steel Back.
