hi, they could be used for letters if u wanted, but they are just made with magazine pages and have alot of designs on them, if i were to use for letters i would cover with tape and use a piece of paper or sticker for the address... but even with regular envelopes i put tape on it so it doesn't rip.. but that just me :) LOL
