After Dorothy's first trip to the land of Oz, she returns to Kansas only to find the home she left behind has been devastated by the same tornado that once sent her over the rainbow. As her friends and family are packing up their belongings and ready to move on out to greener pastures, Dorothy finds herself pulled back to Oz on an all new adventure.

Dorothy's friends the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion, as well as the good witch Glinda are all begin targeted by the villainous Jester while Oz is in ruin. With no sign of the friends she made on her last visit, she sets out on a journey to find and help them. Along the way she meets China Princess, Tug the Tugboat, Marshal Mallow and Wiser the Owl. With their help, Dorothy is determined to rescue her friends and bring happiness back to the land of Oz.
