I have no ideal to be honest... i got these with a lot of other items some time ago. oh the tips of them come off... to put them threw whatever used for. sorry about being so vague .. i honestly don't know much about these type of items...

Gauge just means how thick the posts (metal part) are. Some rings for body jewellery are thicker than others and require bigger holes.

thanks for the information. okay. this looks to be small i took the tip off to look at it, and to give you an ideal to compare it to. its the same size as the lead from a mechanical pencil ( the ones where you refill the lead for) they are the same size. I
