This is an original vintage 1966 Topps #97 JIM MERRITT baseball card.
This is Jim's rookie card.

Merritt won 81 games in his career, including 20 during his All Star 1970 season, when he finished 4th in NL Cy Young voting behind a trio of Hall of Famers (Bob Gibson, Gaylord Perry, Fergie Jenkins) while pitching for the Cincinnati Reds. He came up with the Twins in 1965, and gave them an astounding 1967 campaign (12-7, 2.53 ERA in 28 starts).

Card is in good shape, with only mild vintage wear. Would probably grade in excellent condition as defined by Beckett, possibly better.
