You are about to bid or puchase a Playstation 2 system that includes two PSX controllers and a Mad Catz 2 steering wheel and pedals. Also throwing in Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec to enjoy with this setup!

This package does not include A/V cables or AC power cord and is missing the front piece on the loading tray (can be easily replaced/swapped).

The system works and has been tested 100%!

After looking through countless posts on numerous (over 50) forums, it appears that both PS2 system types have had similar problems. The dark discs are CDs and the lighter (silver / Gold) discs are DVDs.

The OLD Fat systems were indeed the problem, with the "Updated" laser system and components inside the slims they gave them the ability to read dark colored discs.

my sons' ps2 fat won't read my ps1 black disks and for some ungodly reason ps2 blue disks that's why i asked. supposedly the slims and 'some' ps2 fats will read them

I think the first generation PS2's were fine, weren't the Slims the systems with that issue? Not 100% sure, sorry!
