The listing, 1967 Topps #104 MINNIE ROJAS (Angels) Rookie Card has ended.
This is a 1964 Topps #104 MINNIE ROJAS baseball card.
This is Minnie's rookie card.
A 32 year old rookie, Rojas impressed as a reliever and spot starter (2 starts) with the California Angels by going 7-4 with a 2.88 ERA and 10 saves in his first call-up in 1966. He stepped it up in 1967, winning AL Fireman of the Year when he lowered his ERA to 2.52 and led the AL with 27 saves, collecting a share of the MVP votes for the season. He developed calcium deposits in his arm in 1968 and was shut down for the season. A minor league rehab stint the next season proved fruitless, and Rojas never played again, a real shame because he was arguably the best relief pitcher in MLB for his short career.
Card is in good shape, with no creases, decent corners, and only very minor vintage wear. Card would probably grade VG to EX.
Thanks for looking, happy bidding, and good luck!
