Up for bid as a 1985 Maximum Card in excellent condition! It is a continental size card.A maximum card is an illustrated postcard that has one or more stamps and cancels. Illustration, stamps and cancel are all on the same common theme.
This card is first-day-of-issue. The stamps and cancel are connected, as they should be. It pictures the Ice Boat, an exciting winter sport in the northern states of the USA.
Maximum card collecting seems to be a bigger collectible overseas than in the US, where it is often mistaken as just a postcard which has been canceled on the front!
