Hello everyone.....I have here today a beautiful true
antique. It has sat in a China Hutch since it was bought
by my great-grandmother in 1936, for my grand-parents
wedding. It was probably used on very special occasions
at my grand-parents....as this is in absolute pristine Mint
condition. The hand painted floral design is flawless, and
shiny as if bought yesterday. Every Saturday as a child, I
would cross this long field with a path in it to go to my grand-parents house. I would help her take every one of
her nick-nacs and glass beauties out of there proper places and we would dust and shine the hutch and then put everything back in. It would take all day but I loved it. I got to hear all the stories behind every piece and it all was the history of my family. Back to the table set. The tray is a round 6 1/2 across. The sugar bowl is nearly 3 inches, S&P set are 3 inches and the tooth pick is a sweet footed thing at 2 1/2. I is all trimmed in gold with Pink Roses on each side. The S & P are corked and all are marked with the 'Nippon" marks. Even the sugar spoon is trimmed in gold. This is a sweet wonderful mint condition set and you would expect to see this in an antique store or mall for no less then 45 to 65 dollars.
