Description

The listing, USPS Stamps with Space Exploration Themes. Lot of 10 Stamps. has ended.

For your consideration:

This is a lot of 10 Space Exploration themed postage stamps, of various face values, from the United States Postal Service. There are three (3) $2.40 value stamps, two (2) 29 cent value stamps, three (3) 18 cent value stamps and two (2) 10 cent value stamps issued in 1975. The stamps are all in used condition and reflect various imperfections. The imperfections are not so serious that they are not collectable but, I would call the stamps far from being even near mint, much less a lower grade. If you have any questions about these stamps, do not hesitate to ask. I will get back with you quickly. Thanks so much for looking. And "Booommm to the moon!"

Sincerely,
jimvertigo

Whoa! This app used to warn you when you were bidding on stamps with actual money involved.

What postal service are you using that requires $3 to ship this handful of stamps? Generously, the stamp is 70¢ and an envelope is, say, 30¢. You can mail it from your house, so no allowance for gas. I'm not close to $3.

Remember, here at Listia, we five things away for free, charging the buyer the actual, reasonable shipping costs. Shipping expressly cannot be used to get a little extra cash for your item.

Excessive shipping charges are explicitly against the rules.

I do not ever gouge on shipping. I for some reason seem to be getting shafted at the post office according to a lot of you around here. I let you know why I charge $3.25 and why I end up going in the hole charging that little bit. I ship stamps in a semi rigid (part metallic....it looks cool mind you but it is more rigid than a normal envelope of the same size) 9 x 12 bubble envelope with two pieces of light cardboard placed one side of the stamps and one the other side of the stamps and in a plastic bag all weighing just under 13 oz's. I do all of this for stamps and comics so as to minimize any damage to the stamps while in transit. While slapping a single stamp on a paper thin envelope is definitely cheaper, I do all of this plus I add tracking, which in no way costs $3.25! It usually ends up being $4 + with the difference coming out of my pocket and all of this why? Because I provide what is called SUPERIOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, which you typically have a hell of a time finding on this web site. Many people question my methods but only until they get their items safely, quickly and 100% un-damaged. So I'm sorry if that's too rich for you but that's the way I do business and treat my customers. I'll close the auction and refund your credits if you want crappy customer service but don't expect me to smile and leave you good feedback. I'm sorry. That's just how I operate; at a level superior to 90% of sellers on LISTIA. Let me know if 1.) you'll be logical and appreciative or 2.) stupid and an ingrate and I'll act accordingly. I don't mean to be rude but you asked and I told you. Thanks for your interests anyway.

Not to mention that paypal (dirty bastar*s) take a rather large percent of the shipping costs I charge for their own profit. Since when was it ethical to make a profit off of shipping costs? I don't do that and it chafes me to no end when others do it to me. So, though you are uncomfortable with my "gouging" I'm also uncomfortable because I'm getting raped coming and going. >:^<
