Yes the palette is magnetic. I got it from a friend of mine who is a make-up artist. This one I believe only pros can get, but you can get the fancy ones on the web site.

The web site shows you how to remove colors from their original packages so you can put them into this custom palette. The metal plans will stick to the magnet. Or you can buy empty little metal pots that fit into it. Check out the link! :-)
