The listing, Acer One Netbook has ended.

This auction is for a nice mini netbook. It comes with the original box as well. There is however a problem. This laptop worked perfectly until one day when I tried to turn it on and it would not power up. I have no idea what is wrong with it so I am auctioning the netbook in ASIS condition for parts or fixing. If you are handy with computers this might be an easy fix. ((((does not cutrently work)))) Please understand this before bidding. It does not come with the metal case pictured but it will have the original box.

8.9" display
1GB DDR2
120GB hard drive
Wireless
Windows XP

The model number is ZG5

I bought an ACER laptop. I year and i month later it totally failed. I called Acer(which was a painful YOU KNOW the game call. After they asked me tons of questions told me for ?? like $135 their techs could talk me through it. As with most electronics now such as flat screen failure it is a factory preset, easily resolved but is a SCAM of original purchasers. Probably NOTHING wrong with this computer that a reboot won't fix and mine didn't come with software!

I can't get it to power on so that makes a reboot pretty impossible but it would be nice if that would work. I am just hoping someone else can fix it.

No the recovery was built into the laptop itself. Sorry there are no disks.

I have one (Dell Laptop) sitting here right now that did the same thing. I put it in the closet and forgot about it for about 8 months. Took it out the other day and it started up! go figure!

Oh and if you do fix the laptop please delete any personal stuff you might find on there. I don't remember there being anything incriminating but you never know lol.

A common problem with Acer Netbook's is that their battery seems to be shortaged out. Same thing happened to my Acer One Netbook, so I brought a new battery from their website and it worked perfectly.
