Oh no, sorry to hear that...this camera is in excellent condition, the rechargeable batteries have been stored outside of the camera and need to be charged and then it will be ready for use. I wish you luck and hope you are able to replace your camera with this one ;o)

Yes, in the description it is stated that the batteries were stored outside of the camera....no corrosion!!
